My Saturday view these days. 🏒
Wrapped up another term of teaching at ArtCenter this week. Didn’t have a regular class this fall but hosted two labs to help upcoming grads build their portfolio websites. I always enjoy getting to work with the students right before they enter the industry when they’re in the process of defining themselves and what they want.
Lots of tough things in the news right now but I’m just feeling really down about the impending ‘death spiral’ for SEPTA. Public transit is such an asset to Philly and it’s just going to be diminished right before we host the world in 2026.
Here we go! I have hopes that perhaps Bluesky can revive early 2010s design Twitter.
Having a great trip to NYC for SmashingConf
Hiking to a waterfall in the Poconos
I agree! It’s incredible. I got my son a micro:bit this summer and I’m hoping to move up to an Arduino and Raspberry Pi soon.
Home after a great week in Delaware! 🗺️
Made it up Germantown Ave to visit the Woodmere for the first time a few weeks ago. They’ve done a really good job keeping the museum connected to Philly’s contemporary art scene, much more than I expected going in. 🎨
I caught the Alexey Brodovitch exhibition at the Barnes right before it closed. 🎨
Great weekend in NW Philly celebrating everything Mt Airy Saturday night and the installation of our new pastor at our church on Sunday!
I just signed the Save The Train petition in support of fully-funded public transit in NW Philly.
Finally a real snowstorm in Philadelphia
Miracle on South 13th Street
Happy Philaversary to us. There were several moments last year when I thought we were insane for moving back to the beltway with three kids and two dogs in tow but it has absolutely been the best thing for our family.
Great talk by @salcode@phpc.social on the WordPress REST API! He made the topic super approachable.
Started using Micro.blog’s ability to participate in Mastodon today after talking to some people about it at breakfast and I have to say I’m impressed with how seamlessly it’s been working so far.
I’m ready for a day of learning at WordCamp Montclair.
I love being dad to these three.
